Gilmore Street, West Wollongong

Changing the kitchen doors, refurbishing the bathroom, a fresh coat of paint and some turf in the courtyard transformed it from a very tired 1980's look to a modern light filled home. 

Everything from the yellowed air vents in the ceiling to the cream curtains and furniture, dated this lounge area. The market for the unit was young first home buyers, so it was important to give it a more contemporary feel.

The courtyard originally had pavers which had moved over time. We recommended that the owner sell them and replace them with turf. A few plants sourced for free from a local garden were under planted to give the courtyard a fresh green look.

The new cabinetry in the walk in robe was a huge hit with younger buyers.

The kitchen was refreshed with vinyl floor, new benchtops and new cupboard doors. It's a cheap way to update an older style kitchen. 

The alternative would have been to repaint the doors, but the price difference was minimal.

The apricot panelling in the bathroom really dated this property.

By keeping the plumbing in the same place, we were able to give the bathroom a complete facelift for under $10,000.
